Kabir: From Banaras to Boston is a series that explores the timeless wisdom of Kabir, highlighting how his philosophy continues to resonate across cultures and geographies. In this event, two distinguished speakers will share their perspectives on Kabir’s teachings and their relevance today.

Dr. Bijoy Misra serves as the President of India Discovery Center. He is a physicist and has taught in the local area schools. He helps run the South Asia Poets of New England group. He is a Sanskrit scholar and promotes Sanskrit studies in various institutions. He is currently an Honorary Research Associate in the Department of South Asian Studies at Harvard University. He will share his insights on Kabir: Life and Literature.

Prakash Kashwan is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at Brandeis University, where his research and teaching focuses on environmental and climate justice, climate governance, environmental policies and institutions, and the commons.  He will share his Kabir: A Rainbow among humans.
